Thanks guys. As I thought, it’s six of one and half a dozen of the other… I used to be disappointed not to get stamps, but half a page to save possibly no time is a bit silly. Maybe I’ll just look to see how long the passport queue is and decide that way!

If I'm traveling ZRH-FRA-LAX on a single ticket (LH business connecting to LH first), I should be able to use the private security checkpoint for the LX F lounge at A gates, and then access the LX F lounge, correct?

And I wouldn't (or shouldn't) try to access the LX F lounge at E gates (for the terrace/beds/etc.), since I'd have to exit Schengen for the E lounge, and then re-enter Schengen for my ZRH-FRA flight? (I have a non-Schengen passport.)

Is there any escort to flight for Schengen flights, or do we walk to gates from lounge ourselves?

Yes, go to the FCL A; I guess you could go to E, but it would be a hassle

for Schengen flights, one walks to the gate, unless the plane is at an outside position, in which case you would be driven to the plane.

Yes, just go up the escalator directly to the First Class & HON reception area with the dedicated security, you need to walk to the A gate for the FRA flight but it will be close to FCL A.

When you arrive at FRA, exit A & walk to FCT

Was in the FCL E the other day. The dayrooms were closed as they were blocked out for the way. It was disappointing as it was my first time there and was looking to use them. Food was delicious and the service was great. Hardly saw more than 5 or 6 people in the lounge. The fact that they don't escort to the plane like LH does is disappointing.

On Tuesday both dayrooms were out of order because they had no clean sheets ! Unbelievable

LX do drive you to your flight if it departs from an outside position, same as LH, at FRA only, you are guaranteed to be driven from FCT because there is no other option.

I'm very happy that LX does not escort people to the plane from the FCL because:
- I am capable to push the elevator button myself and walk 100 meters to the gate without help.
- the show-off effect at the gate means little to me
- I'm fine with the fact that I pay for the lounge with my ticket, because it's an added value for me, but I don't want to pay for such a gimmik. Just consider what this would cost. Ultimately, someone needs to pay for it, and that should be the one who buys the ticket. With the peak at noon and around ten longhaul departures in about half an hour, they'd need an army of people just for that, and armies of people cost a lot in Switzerland.
Would you really pay $50 to $100 if this service was offered?

The advantage for me is:

- With escort, the passenger has no more responsibility for catching the plane. The passenger can stay in the lounge until picked up and does not have to monitor departure screens.
-.It avoids the problem of having to skip the line when boarding, if boarding has already started and Y pax take all the lanes.

Same today. Mentioned that in the LH FCL thread and only now saw your comment, sorry.

I am actually pretty mad that they just let this happen and do not seem to care. Can it happen once — absolutely. But every day? No way!

For a remote stand or gate more than a few hundred meters from the lounge? 1000% Yes, every single time.

For a remote stand, it’s already provided, no gates are far from a FCL in ZRH, it’s a small airport

For the first time ever, I asked to see the lounge manager, as the gentleman at the entrance didn’t seem to care too much, and he was embarrassed and obviously very frustrated. I was desperate for a bed and he couldn’t locate clean sheets for several hours. That is really unacceptable, since the „hotel rooms“ are a key component of their F advertising strategy: „The First Lounge offers pure luxury. Two hotel rooms, a conference room, mini suites, a champagne bar and two restaurants ensure that you can enjoy every comfort.“ Today, I couldn’t lie down anywhere until I flew to the FCLA in FRA.
