Experflyer shows seat blocked long before flight
Hi all,
A month ago I booked a short-haul Biz flight in which ExpertFlyer showed a seat in row 2 as blocked. I am curious
as to what could be the reason for the seat being blocked. The flight is due to depart in two weeks and the Biz cabin extends until row 4. The plane is an A220.

I don’t think it is taken (this would show as a fully blue seat in ExpertFlyer as opposed to being marked with an X which indicates blocked). From the layout (only one seat per row in the left row) I also don’t think it’s just being blocked because it’s business class.

2C is always blocked in advance on the A220.
