HON have specific channels to raise issues & they should be used when warranted

SEN can do the same, if everyone accepts things not being right & don’t provide feedback how is change going to happen ?

Remember, LH group are paying for contract lounge access, and if it’s not acceptable for the user of the service they are paying for tell them.

I am glad to see that my post has created that many reactions. I am not frequently flying to MIA but those of you who do, should complain to LH/LX as chris63 suggested.

I have reached out to LX's SEN line which advised that I should write an email, which I did. I doubt that anything will come out of it, but will report any answer. I have linked this thread in my email.

As a HON member since 2005 I have been in touch with my PAs (having the 4th already) on occasion for this and that. While I fly out of MIA once a year from a vacation I have given up hoping for improvements there. It appears there is no space in that concourse and LATAM is the best they can offer. Actually I try to make the time in that lounge as short as possible. Have a quick Gin tonic from the bar, but no snacks since people use their dirty fingers to take things out and sometimes place it back.

I'm happy not flying out there that often.

Actually, to place back the food in that lounge is the right thing to do. I am on Apérol Spritz there. Tossitos and Haagen Dasz are the best one can get in terms of food.

They complained in such an very arrogant way that I have experienced more often from Swiss travelers than others, which does not mean that all Swiss are like that.

Rest assured that your reaction wouldn’t have changed my mind.

There was no reason to take it out on the poor local agent.

MIA LATAM lounge is closed for renovations with F/HON being escorted to and from a land-side temporary LATAM lounge.

Some good news is that it sounds like improvements are coming.

The fantastic LH Group lounge team said the new LATAM lounge will open in 2 weeks and be completely new and significantly nicer. Everything from the furniture, floors, layout etc will change. There should also be more private areas where F/HON pax can relax.

Additionally, a TK lounge is opening so LH Group pax will have the choice between the two lounges.

Good news indeed. This being said, if TK is able to open a lounge in MIA, LH and its subs should have been able too.

Hope we can still use the then improved LATAM lounge, when there is a *A lounge in place. The TK lounges fail to impress me, left the one at BKK after a short while for one of the many better options there.

There is already a *A lounge in MIA, the Avianca lounge. Non status C pax get access to that (overcrowded) lounge. SENs, HONs and F pax may use the LATAM lounge. I wonder whether the access rules will change after the renovation of the LATAM lounge and opening of the TK lounge. Also, I wonder where the TK lounge will be.

I will report in early Dec after my travel out of MIA, if nobody does in the meantime.

Actually, I dis-/like some things about the LATAM lounge and other things about the Avianca lounge. And, to be honest, at least before the renovation, both were almost equally bad.
