Business Class Seats A340-300
 

Have an early morning flight from TLV-ZRH and was wondering what would be the quietest most private business class seats on an A340 to choose. A couple traveling together but will probably sleep and thinking single seats might be better than the 2 middle seats.

Privacy isn't great on Swiss J. There are no dividers or anything. The single seats are not so much better, so you can take the two middle seats without any problem.

The most "private" parts are rows 4 and 5 that are in a small separate part of the business class cabin just behind F.

Note that for being able to reserve single seats typically you need to have Senator/Gold status.

BTW, the 340 fleet is currently being renovated (due to be finished by year end I believe) the new seats are quite good, the old ones really show their age.

Any "throne" (= single) seat will provide half-decent privacy. Seats in rows 4 and 5 are quieter, but also the first to go.

I would go for row 4 and take the middle seats if you are traveling with someone. In the new seats, privacy has improved, at least for one of the middle seats which gets 2 large armrests. If it is not available, I would go in the back of the cabin, in the middle.
