When to arrive at CDG airport?
 
Hello all -

Flying CDG-ZRH-BOM tomorrow with 11 hour overnight layover (same ticket) in ZRH. Should I arrive in cdg standard 3 hours prior to departure for “international” flights? Or would 1-2 hours be sufficient?

If you don't want to or spend time in the lounge or if you're not eligible. 1h15 - 1h30 would be fine.
If you check-in online, you would only drop your bags which would take no longer than 2-3 minutes.

The need to arrive at an airport 3 hours before departure is a myth especially in Europe. According to this webpage LX check-in counters at CDG open 2 hours before departure. Arriving 1.5 hours before departure should be more than enough.

Thanks a lot!

i have lounge access (flying in business and first) - So I’ll definitely be getting to Zrh early tomorrow am for first lounges but I doubt anything special in cdg

No, the CDG lounge is definitely not special, ZRH FCL E, certainly is ;)

As others said, arriving 1h30 before the flight at CGD should be more than enough. This said, if you are travelling from the city center in Paris I would definitely aim at getting to the airport 3h in advance. The RER is often delayed and the traffic can be a state...
