Techically still in 2013, but as it extends into 2014 I'll post here.
Per ch-aviation:
Helvetic Airways (2L, Zurich) and Swiss (LX, Zurich) are set to extend an existing ACMI contract, signed in 2006, until Spring 2017. Under the deal's terms, beginning Winter 2013, Helvetic will wet-lease Swiss a fourth Fokker 100 for use on flights from Zurich to various destinations throughout Western Europe, the Balkans and Scandinavia. Helvetic Airways itself operates six Fokker 100s and one A319-100.
Not sure if it's capacity expansion or if it's the thinner routes that will get it and the A32S not operating.

Slightly OT, but can influence the outcome of LX GVA-BEG:
Easyjet will open GVA-BEG eff 29JAN14 [FR only gva.ch site]. Just a month after LX starts, and operating on the exact same days (!) TUE,THU,SAT. I'll try to post the timings when I find them.

This event IMO just adds to the discussion in this thread of BEG having potential and Easyjet cornering LX at GVA.

Darwin Airline will rebrand its operations as Etihad Regional

Continuing the tangent to this topic but with potential to shake up LX:

Etihad just took a stake of 33.3% in Darwin (which will be rebranded Etihad Regional and will focus on connecting passengers from secondary markets into Etihad Airways’ European network (ZRH is also getting EY direct service)

Here is the press release and I opened a thread over at the Etihad forum.

In concrete where this gets very interesting is the announcement of new routes operated by Etihad Regional (Darwin) out of ZRH and GVA (April, May and June)
Out of ZRH: Leipzig, Geneva, Florence,Turin, Linz, Graz, Lyon, Verona
Out of GVA: Toulouse, Belgrade, Zurich, Bordeaux, Marseille, Nantes, Verona.

In red direct LX competition.
Easyjet out of GVA operates all except ZRH and VRN.
GVA-BEG just got ridiculous (from 0 to 3 companies in 6 months)

I guess this is only the beginning, but with a deep pocket parent company Etihad Regional could become a very interesting offer to consumers. (i.e. a good C/Y product Intra-Europe)

That's really news. Together with AB/HG, JU, EI, and OK this means that Etihad group will serve 25 destinations directly out of ZRH and 11 out of GVA (plus a few more seasonal). It becomes clearly something like the secondary Swiss carrier.

Looks like somebody at Etihad dug out the old Crossair Business Plan. Knowing that quite a few former SR mangers moved to them after the collaps they certainly have the inside knowledge. This will be interesting to follow...

The recent history of the ZRH-NUE seems to be:
APR13-AUG13 it was operated by a Dash 8 operated by IQ
SEP13-OCT13 E190 operated by IQ
NOV13-MAR14 Avro RJ100 operated by SWISS EUROPEAN AIR LINES (by looking at the current schedule)
APR14 onwards F100 operated by Helvetic

per ch-aviation MCT temporary suspension

Swiss (LX, Zurich) has announced adjustments to its Zurich to Dubai Int'l via Muscat flight for the period covering May 1 to July 19, 2014. During the period, which coincides with Dubai Int'l's runway rehabilitation programme, Swiss will suspend operating the Dubai - Muscat sector of the flight. In addition, the same sector will also be suspended on the July 4, 11, 18 and 25 owing to Ramadan.

Per airline route on ORD to 12 weekly. I guess this is a good bet for a 777 service when they arrive.
SWISS from 28JUL14 to 01OCT14 is adding 12th weekly service on Zurich – Chicago route, as per 29JAN14 GDS timetable/inventory display. The new flight operates on Mondays in the morning hours from Zurich.

LX2608 ZRH0955 – 1235ORD 333 x35
LX008 ZRH1255 – 1540ORD 333 D

LX2609 ORD1450 – 0625+1ZRH 333 x35
LX009 ORD1925 – 1100+1ZRH 333 D
And per LX BSL changes: Summer service to OLB, PMI and IBZ. FCO dropped.

SWISS will be offering new seasonal services between EuroAirport Basel and the vacation destinations of Ibiza, Olbia and Palma de Mallorca in its 2014 summer schedules. From the beginning of June to the end of October SWISS will operate up to four weekly flights to Palma de Mallorca. Olbia will receive two weekly services from Basel during the peak holiday season between the beginning of June and mid-September. And Ibiza will have one new weekly service from the end of June to mid-September.

The existing services between Basel and London City, Barcelona, Hamburg and Prague will all be maintained in the 2014 summer schedules. The present service to Rome will be discontinued. All SWISS’s flights from Basel are operated with Avro RJ100 aircraft offering around 100 seats.
