Can't select seats in advance even in J?

Just booked 3 J's using Aeroplan miles on Swiss from JFK to KUL. It seems like I can't select my seats in advance--is this true? If so, am I at the mercy of Swiss to assign me the 3 seats (which of course have a chance of being seated separately). Any feedbacks would be appreciated!

Absolutely you can. You simply need to get the Swiss PNR from Aeroplan and use it on the LX website. Or call Swiss and give them your 014 ticket number.

Swiss doesn't fly to KUL though.

You will have to select the seats on each carrier. I know SWISS sometimes doesn't allow seat selection with infants/children.

Log into your aeroplan account, go to manage your booking, select the booking and you should be able to click on "select your seats". This will show you the codes to go on swiss.com and pull up the booking and select your seats.
