Top50 customer?

At check-in at JFK for the second time I was welcomed as Top50 customer by LX-staff (Swissport). I saw that was also printed near my name on the list of F passengers, when I was escorted from the lounge to the gate.
Any idea what that means? Is it a LX speciality or even a local (LX at JFK) matter?

Every LX outstation gets a list updated frequently of the top 50 customers on that route, so that they can take extra good care of them. I imagine the JFK list to be quite competitive, so well done on making it ^

Nice feature by LX! Is that base on frequency of flights or revenue?

I'm guessing revenue!

And what is a customer? LX only or LH group combined on a specific sector?

Back when I was doing ZRH-JFK at least once a week I was told that I was one of the top customer for the JFK station. Besides the fact that I got to know everyone on the LX JFK team there where a few „unofficial“ benefits like getting friends and family into the JFK FCL, almost absolut upgrade priority or individual escort to immigration.

I believe the criteria was a mix of frequency and HON status.

HON is not worth the "fidelity" - the F lounge staff at ZRH make a habit of being stroppy to HONs who are not long-haul in F (yeah, honest), LH and LX hava a nasty habit of using remote stands at airports outside Germany/Switzerland so you are stuck on a bus after your flight, the Xmas/birthday presents are getting pathetic and so on - not worth giving all the flights to LH/LX to be treated like a gate-crasher half the time.

Out of interest, what was(/is) your line of work? What caused you to travel that frequently?
