LX ZRH->TLV only bookable as LY codeshare?

Hello FT,

LX 252 on Sep26 does not appear to be bookable on Swiss website. Same flight can be booked as LY 8850 (operated by Swiss).
Does it seem to be a weird IT thing, or some kind of a deal between the two?

D.

LX and LY have a codeshare agreement for the ZRH-TLV route.

So those two daily LY flights can be booked on swiss.com while on ElAl you’ll be able to book those two Swiss flights.

that wasn’t the OP‘s question

to the OP: would just try again - probably a glitch

Ohhhhh, he meant that the LY flightnumber operated by swiss would be able to be booked on swiss.com? Well, this is technically possible (When a flight is available in the system it can be seen with all its different code share FN as well as its original FN) On the website however, this shouldn't normally show up unless you are looking at an overlycomplex booking in LH group/open jaw mode.
Trying to book these is a whole different story and practically impossible.

PS: I just looked up the flight availability on the public TA amadeus interface and there as well only the LY codeshare for the flight was visible. The original flight with LX number is just not there. And since it is a T7 operating the flight I highly doubt every single booking class is sold out. I mean they even have 8F seats they don't sell but are still available as seats in case of overbooking (classed as C in the system for this flight).

Thanks all. Business class is bookable again on this flight. I guess economy seats will follow suit...
