So the lounge is open... hopefully we get to see some real (ie not from the LX PR team) photos or reviews soon..! Unfortunately I’m flying through FRA from HKG tonight and not ZRH as the LX flight is full.

I managed to spend 30 minutes in the new A lounge today.
From the special passport booth downstairs you still take the elevator up, but then turn left, to where the old back entrance to the SEN lounge was. There is now a corridor that brings you to the lounge. This is also used in reverse, for the transfers to E (more later).
The lounge is nice, big bar in the middle and tables around it. It already appeared quite full, doesn’t look like a big capacity increase to me.
Food menu is similar to what it was, but is prepared in an “open” kitchen and the presentation has improved a lot.
Leav8ng the lounge for A gates, you take another corridor that ends with a door in between some of the duty free shops on the mezzanine/level 2 (next to Grieder). This is also the corridor you need to use entering fromA/B, I guess.
I was told by the driver who picked me up at E (F/HON GVA pick up) that the E to A transfer that has been debated here will start before summer, and apply only to F pax, not HON. There will be an official communication to HON, I was told.
All in all, a nice lounge but for transfer pax a bit more walking. And I don’t think I will be happy with the changes to the transfer procedures.

Strange about the E to A not for HON, but it must be a capacity issue. There must be more HONs than we think. So if I arrive at terminal E and have a connection to Belrin lets say, they will pick me up at E to bring me to the A F lounge?

I wonder if E to A will be aircraft to A or E-lounge to A..?
Maybe the no transfer for HON isn’t just for capacity and budget reasons, but an LH directive.. otherwise why would transfer pax like me ever go through FRA again? I could do without the 20min+ trek from Z to B or FCT (which incidentally I had to do this morning so my displeasure is especially fresh lol)...
