Hey Everyone,
Will be flying LX F from LAX to Zur next week. Very excited. 2 questions:

Is there an escort to take you through security at LAX or do we have to slug through the regular way? Can't find a definitive answer!

While I have been on several F international products, this is my first on Swiss. Anything I should know or look out for? Good or bad?

Yes, there is an escort that brings you from the check-in counter through security to the lounge, and then from the lounge to the gate. Last year in December, we used the 'special assistance' lane. There were only a few people in wheelchairs and two families with small children in front of me. Overall, it took not more than 10 min to go through security (and was as fast/slow as if I would have taken the F/C security line). Note, that there is no TSA-Pre for LX passengers (and I think there were no TSA-Pre lanes at the TBIT in LAX at all).

For the second question: I love F class on the LX 777. In terms of service and quality of food and beverages, in my opinion superior to LH, TG, OZ (which are the four airlines whose F-class I flew). The seat is fantastic. The A/K seats are great if you travel alone.

At LAX if they're busy they might not proactively offer you an escort through security. If they don't, just ask.

They used to escort you upstairs to the main security checkpoint und bypassed the line. Apparently that's no longer possible. They now use a lesser known checkpoint in the basement and then escort you to the lounge. Works quite well, maybe a slightly longer walk. Enjoy!

Things to look out for: Their balik salmon is excellent! And: have a meal at the F lounge in dock E in ZRH if you can, it's a very nice lounge.
