ZRH Tight Transfer

Flying in on LX from SIN-ZRH-MAD with 50mins connection. Is 50mins generally enough in ZRH? Also what about with checked bag - preferably no delay?

Thanks!

Wife and bag just made a 45 minutes one. You will have to suffer through security re-check and immigration, and the transfer to the intra Schengen flight.

Should be easy to do if the SIN bird arrives on time. I'd risk it in this direction.

50 mins should work. The SIN-ZRH flight gets you into ZRH very early in the morning, so if the excrement hits the proverbial ventilation device (e.g. late arrival from SIN), you can still take a later flight to MAD.

ZRH is probably the best airport in the world for short connections

The team there are proactive - I've made a 12 min connection (ATC issues) Shengen > Non Shengen

As other have said, totally fine and doable. If you are able to make it, so is your bag.

Woest case you can get the next flight to MAD. I wouldn't leave 50min in the other direction though since only one flight to SIN a day and it's late at night.

HEL is even faster either direction in my experience.

I love ZRH and MUC for short connections but it's hard to beat VIE.

I do know Istarted this posting as ZRH tight transfer, my inbound is on LH and only got 1hr30mins connection for my FRA-SIN long haul at FRA.
Last time i did this was ok, hopefully VCE-FRA lands on-time. And no strike. LOL

I connected through ZRH last week. There was no security recheck. Is the security recheck for only certain flights? I flew LAX-CPH.

Yes flights from the US (along with most European flights) are considered clean and usually no additional security check is required.
