Dubai First Class - Marhaba on departure and meal service
Dear Swiss Lurker
2 questions.
1) Marhaba Service
A tweet from 2012 was all I could find besides my bad memory on my last Swiss Class flight.
According to this tweet Swiss Fist passagers benefit from Marhaba meet & greet service. Is this still the case? Is this available also on departure, meaning checkin at Marhaba check in lounge and escorts through security and emigration fast track with buggy?
Thank you.
2) ex DXB meal service - is there a full dinner service, just a (smaller) supper or just a breakfast?
Thanks.

When I flew in/out of DXB on LH/LX, the Marhaba service was always offered on arrival and departure (4x in last 1 1/2 yr).
Buggy ride through the tunnel both ways. Fast track immigration and taken through the crew security checkpoint when queues existed for the regular track.
Please note that you will have to wait for other pax before being taken to the buggy station at the bottom of the elevators, where you may again have to wait a couple of minutes for a buggy to arrive. The longest wait I experienced was 8 minutes, just enough to arrive at the other side of the tunnel at the same time as pax who had walked. But then they would have to queue for immigration so the wait is still worth it.
I checked in at the counters, where one of the Marhaba ladies would be waiting to pick up F/HON pax.
Escort from the lounge to the gate is also offered, but is only helpful with the buggy if the gate is far from the lounge.
Short dinner service, but who really needs it at 3 am local time... Plus breakfast.

Regarding 2) - ex-DXB meal service: There is a meal service consisting of first course, main course, cheese and dessert as well as breakfast in the morning.

Marhaba service is provided to departing HON Circle members and First Class passengers. Please note that this service cannot be provided to transfer passengers.
Please kindly report to the First Class check-in, where you will be met by your Marhaba agent. Your agent will assist you through security and immigration. Buggy service can be provided after immigration, on ground level only.
Best regards from ZRH and wishing you a great flight!

Hello, just to clarify the arrival procedures: I am HON travelling with wife and two small children overnight to Dubai. Can I be certain that I will be awaited with a buggy for transportation to immigration for myself and my family (they are on the same booking)?
thanks for your help!

Sorry for digging out this old thread - But does anyone have any recent arrival experience in DXB for LX F? Is Marhaba Arrival service offered? If so, which level; pick up at gate? Thanks

If last year is recent enough: There was a Marhaba agent at the gate and met us there. IIRC, she walked with us all the way to the taxi rank outside, but wasn‘t too much help and Marhaba immigration was not much faster than „regular“ immigration.

I will be flying F on LX242/243 this September (7th and 12th) and will gladly report back to you.

On arrival the agents waited right infront of immigration holding up signs with our names. We would then be guided to our luggage and further out of the airport to the limousine or taxi.
On departure the agent would escort you from the check-in desk through a special door where they would scan your boardign pass (so you wouldn't have to wait in line) and then to immigration where she left us. There was no apparent fast line for security, but luckily there was no line at all there. You then take the train yourself and search for the Lufthansa Senator lounge, which is basic, but okay.
