In summary:
- offer for new clients only.
- Welcome-Bonus miles are forfeited if client terminates card within the first 12 months.

Hello,
I have seen that with the SWISS miles & more credit card you can convert up to 25.000 award miles into status miles.
Can somebody please advise:
1) what is the exchange rate?
2) the 25.000 miles have had to be accumulated by using the credit card or could be just award miles that you have obtained on flights, hotels,...?
Thanks,

Hello,
I have a basic UBS credit card (free if more than 24 transactions per year) that started charging 2% fee on foreign transactions in francs.
This fee is enforced when buying a plane ticket from EasyJet Switzerland, departing from Switzerland, and paid in Swiss francs. I am not happy with that.
I think I'll subscribe to another card. I won't spend more than Fr. 15'000 a year with it and I just want it to be cheap and reliable. I have a Star Alliance Gold status but not with Miles&More.
Which credit card would you choose?
Thank you

Even if you were forced to pay the yearly fee for the second year, the price would be 0,011 CHF/mile for the 20k miles welcome bonus, which is still not such a bad deal (although arguably worse than 0 CHF for 20'000 miles).

Here is a different promotion than the ones we're used to.
20K for any color of the card
and a additional 20K if more than 2000 PAX apply to it by 25.04.18
1347 have already applied by now ! Wow that's a surprising number, isn't it?

Hi there!
I might be moving to Switzerland in the fall. After having lived in the US for several years, I am pretty spoiled when it comes to benefits of credit cards. I understand that the acceptance of credit cards in Switzerland generally is rising, and customers are putting more everyday spend on credit cards.
Now, is there a consensus on what are the best CC products in Switzerland? I am both particularly interested in good return in the form as points, as well as low/no foreign transaction fees. Are there any 'must haves', like the Chase Sapphire Premier in the US?
When it comes to CC applications, is it usually difficult to be approved, especially with a Ausländerausweis B?
Thanks!

The only thing is: There are no really great must have cards here (If there is somebody please tell me!). I think the only ones worth to mention are the miles&more credit cards, which are okay, then there is the usual range of AmEx cards, but those are not that much accepted here due to the hefty fees they impose. And some cornercards that recently had a promo, but else the Swiss credit card market is pretty awful.
Anyway: I'll be looking forward to welcome you in Switzerland!

The interchange rates in Switzerland and the EU are a small fraction of what they are in the US. Consequently, there is much less money floating around to pay for the exuberant benefits, sign-up bonuses and mileage earn rates you see in the US.
You will need to adjust your expectations.
