Now there is only the OS flights left with acceptable dep. times ex. Europe and BKK - Pls dont change!

It is beyond me why LX choose a dep. time corresponding more or less with the TG flight ex. ZRH. The current LX evening flight has a significant advantage over the noon TG flight which will now vanish.

I suppose this will make the TG evening flights ex MUC and FRA and the TG midnight flights to FRA and ZRH even more popular...

Actually I don't see a problem. Route is mostly O&D from ZRH anyway and times are more convenient for leisure pax IMO. Connecting traffic is not a really important for this route anyway and it allows higher fleet utilization with a turnaround of only 2h 20mins in BKK vs 8h 45min today.

Along with the announced additions for GRU & MIA (see below) it makes absolute sense, making more money with the existing fleet leading to higher fleet usage ...

GRU now up to 11 weekly

LX2694 ZRH GRU 0930 1845 146 343 27Oct14-28Mar15
LX2694 ZRH GRU 0930 1845 7 343 09Nov14-04Jan15 (ex 28Dec14)

LX2695 GRU ZRH 1535 0610 146 343 27Okt14-28Mar15
LX2695 GRU ZRH 1535 0610 7 343 09Nov14-04Jan15 (ex 28Dec14)

MIA now 13 weekly during NW season 14/15

LX2666 ZRH MIA 0950 1435 257 333/343 26Oct14-27Mar15
LX2667 MIA ZRH 1655 0805 257 333/343 26Oct14-27Mar15

Well I for one will no longer use this flight. And I fly to/from BKK 4-5 times per year. I would leave often Sunday evening to arrive for a Tuesday meeting, or return after a meeting and be back in time for meetings the next day. I would also use BKK for SEA connections including KUL and SGN, even ex SEL due to the time difference. No more, this is really really stupid.

Most of your points are true. However, from what I know there is only about one third local traffic on that route - so connecting pax are still needed.
There are other routes with more local pax.

I agree completely with MichielR. I used this flight 4 times last year in business originating from MAN but now there is a 11 hour connection on the return trip my love affair with LX is over. What's the best alternative?

Whilst I agree that the timings are bad and LX loses the advantage compared to TG it does make sense to increase flights to GRU as they seem to be doing very well and are always fully booked and have the highest prices within the LX network.
However I would now use the direct SIN flight instead for connections or flying at night to ZRH.

Am very pleased with this move for my part as I prefer a day flight back to Europe.

Landing at 19h30 will let me take my connection to GVA or CDG and have a good night sleep before attacking the next day ^

I mostly fly ex-SIN but might make a detour via BKK on some occasion.

No, excellent change, departing and arriving at civilized times and avoiding an aircraft standing around for nearly 8 hours ^.

I hate these very late night departures and TG departs from Zurich for lunchtime since ever.

With this schedule from GRU it looks there will changes in the schedule of LX93 (current GRU-ZRH) or the schedule for LX2695 is incorrect.
LX could use the A/C of LX92 which arrives in GRU at 05:50 to operate LX2695.
But with LX2694 only arriving in GRU at 18:45 it's not possible to keep LX93 operating at 18:30 as is.

LX codeshares with TG. So actually now the flights are more complementary (Specially from BKK)
To BKK:
TG971 ZRH 13.30 - BKK 05.50 +1 (LX4300)
LX180 ZRH 17.50 - BKK 10.40 +1
From BKK
TG970 BKK 00.40 - ZRH 07.25;P +1 (LX4301)
LX181 BKK 13.00 -ZRH 19.30

I'm sure LX looked at BKK yield losses due to time change but probably more than offset by the increases to MIA/GRU and decided to go for it anyway.

LX93 has a scheduled departure time at 20:30. So it is possible to use the A/C of LX2694.

You're right.
Well actually currently it is 18:30 (I was typing my previous message yesterday looking at the departure board in GRU ). As of the LX2694/5 introduction end of October timing (which I disregarded) LX93 is indeed moved to 20:30
