LH BOS-ZRH-VIE experience in F? Lounge? Driven to gate?

I'm flying on F on LX from BOS-ZRH-VIE and then LH VIE-LHR-LAX (on the new 747-8s)-HNL (UA). Pretty happy about it. Some questions

1) Will I get driven to my gate in ZRH? Or to a First Class lounge?
2) Is ZRH LX's first class lounge as nice as LH's in FRA?

1) you may get a car from the lounge to your VIE flight if this departs from an apron position

2) no, not at all. It is a nice lounge but nowhere near the LH F lounges

Do you mean VIE-FRA-LAX??
Agree with MichielR. LX FCL is ok, but LH lounges are much better.

Yes meant VIE-FRA-LAX on the 747-8. Again not sure why F was cheaper than C last week, but I will take it.

Bummer about the lounge - so no rubber ducky and jacuzzi tub I guess!

You can get a ducky in FRA on your return. How long is your layover?

I'd rather fly the "old" F on the 747 upper deck. The "new" F is IMHO not an an improvement but a typical LH "enhancement", which means you pay more and get less

You'd rather fly old F on the 744 instead of what?
New F on the 744? Or new F on the 748?

I'll be on the new F in 748. I like the old F on the 747 but excited to try new product. I'm also very curious about LX in F as I've never flown them in F before.

Sitting in the Swiss Lounge, I have to say that the LX experience is inferior to LH - and maybe that is Zurich airport's fault. The F produce on LX was excellent, but that's when the fun stopped. No one to help you when you arrive, no car to pick you up, and then a long haul to other gates and a very, very crowded and unremarkable F lounge that does not have its own WiFi! I had to walk out and go find a kiosk to print the "60 min free" voucher. If I was here for more than a few hours I'd be out of luck (and I don't turn on my mobile phone here, so no luck getting a code).

Probably will be going back to LH.

If you want a ride in a Mercedes to Zurich take a taxi in Frankfurt!

Don't understand the hype American Freebee Maximizers are making here always about a limo transfer , which is virtually unknown in the US.

Here are the rule for limo transfers for arriving F PAX:

FRA Gate Never
FRA Apron Sometimes
MUC Gate Never
MUC Apron Mostly
ZRH Gate Never
ZRH Apron Never

If this is too complicated MUC, FRA,ZRH airports are offering a VIP transfer package which inlcudes limo pick-up, private transfer lounge and transfer to your connecting flight, but this is NOT free of charge.
ZRH Apron Never

And here for departing:

FRA FCT always
FRA Apron mostly ex FCL
FRA Gate sometimes ex FCL
MUC Gate never
MUC Apron always ex FCL
ZRH Gate yes , if in Terminal E to Terminal only
ZRH Apron always

So what? Having to jump thru hoops to access WiFi in a lounge (and then having to pay for anything over an hour) is also virtually unknown in the US. Are you disputing any of his facts? OP was opining on the poor LX ground experience. Having experienced three LX First transfers in ZRH in the past two months, I fully concur. Compared to LH and EK, LX is an inferior airline, and no amount of good inflight food and service can offset a bad, at times laughable, ground experience and an uncomfortable F seat. Just saying.
