Silly question, but is it considered "safe" to have luggage kept in the baggage system at ZRH overnight? Some airports in other places of the world I know I'd be hesitant...
Yes it is perfectly safe.

I'm always surprised and a little bit disappointed when people think we in Europe are some sort of anarchistic third world country...

i feel itís more they expect itís the same as in their home countries where itís probably not safe.

ZRH is about the safest place in Earth to keep your luggage overnight. Second to Singapore maybe..

In contrary to you I think more often than not it's the self inflated opinion of some people about their country, thinking their country is the pinacle of the world in pretty much everything and everywhere else must be an anarchistic third world country.

How often have I heard people saying they won't travel outside their country because it isn't safe. (Many Swiss are also guilty of this, I remember the discussions I had with some of my friends parents when we planned journeys to Morocco or Brazil.).

Essentially most of the world is pretty safe in my opinion and even the bad places aren't usually as bad as people paint them to be.

I'd throw in Tokyo and pretty much anywhere in Japan to even beat Singapore in that aspect

Well, I wouldnít want my bag to overnight everywhere in Europe nor everywhere in Asia but I get your point, ZRH & SIN are up there with the most secure

Thanks everyone for their replies. I'd have figured it wouldn't be a problem, but wanted to double-check.
