F will always be better then C (at least on LX). Whether it's worth it for you personally depends on what you're looking for. If it's privacy, better food, better wine, better service, better ground service then go for F.
Personally, I'd go for F...

The thought of being able to use the first class lounge again in ZRH is a tempting one!

The ZRH F lounge however is only good for food IMHO. Often it is very crowded (or at least it seems like it, as the main room is so small) and I actually prefer to eat there and then stay in the bar lounge.

defenitely F (spoiled opinion...may not be appropriate)
Definitely go with F.
In my opinion, its not only on-board that counts - although rightfully it is ... say 70% of you overall experience, right? If the the remaining 20% in on the ground experience on departure and probably another 10% on arrival.
The only "thing" that bugs me on old F seat (hard-product) is their last century video screen. Now with new C you have 12.3 inch screen, but with old F only 10.4 one. Once one experiences new F screen of ... 20+inches and better quality, it ias hard to go back. That's the bug.
Proposedd solution for LX "enhancement" team: pre-loaded IPAD for old First class - pre-loaded with today's newspapers, podcasts, etc. (i.e.: from major new organizations (that's what i do these days ... who has time for movies anayway). There are 15 340s , times 10 (two for back-up) that, times 2 for rotation, 300 IPADs. Assuming LX can get then for steep discount (50%) from Apple, the purchase cost will be 75,000USD (assume 250USD/pp). maybe even LX can saell them as duty free on board item??? The maintainance will cost indeed, as somone will need to clean, sload, sync, etc.
best,
LN

Have not yet flown new C yet but for my next trip to LAX I just booked F on the day flight and C on the return, assuming that I can sleep in new C just well. I prefer F on dayflights and C on nightflights if the biz product is good enough. Clearly the FCL is nice but not worth the upgrade IMO.

Off topic: We just bought 1600 iPads and the discount was far from 50%

The new C product and seat are great, except for one thing.
I am tall, and when I go into sleep mode, my feet fit nicely into the foot space, but it's impossible to turn over without your feet getting stuck.
Far better than SAS but just a personal gripe.
