How many miles for ZRH-ZRH??

I was (and technically still "am") on LX188 ZRH-PVG today. Engine nb 3 shutdown above Austria, we turned back to ZRH (will upload some pictures later).

Do you think that I 'll get the miles for this filght..? We flew 721 miles. Being bookedin biz class, and taking advantage of the current "turn it up" promotion this would result in quite a bunch of airmiles as the minimum miles for European flights is 2500 miles (for SEN and above)

Just kidding... happy to be alive actually. Crew was very professional ^^.
Next try is scheduled for 6pm.

Good luck for claiming the miles with M&M! Good to hear all went well.

Obiously nobody has noticed yet - normally something is in the news, but I have found nothing ...

I had flights credited in the past that went tech and got miles for the flight I subsequently got rebooked on, too. So you can hope for the PVG flight to get credited twice.

Engine shut down in the news? I doubt it with three left, unless there is no other topic at all...

Hardly worth reporting an engine failure and subsequent return to base.

Today's news isn't slow at all ... Dubai nearly broke, former German defence minister under pressure for lying, Oliver Pocher has swine flu ...

And the latter being the most important news

... where the question remains, if the last one is more important than an engine shutdown.

Have also earned miles twice, though it was because I bailed from the aborted/delayed flight (told them it would arrive too late for my connections), and got LH reluctantly to rebook me on the following day's scheduled flight - was credited for full Y class miles the second time too.

The passengers who got your plane (HB-JMN) the next day and thought they were going to Sao Paolo got even less far with it. The plane had problems retracting the flaps, dumped fuel and returned to base.

...and by the way, the GRU case was in the local news, except of course they did not notice it was the same plane.

A little off-topic, but does anyone else find it ironic that this Rampensau got the swine flu?
