If any other (the ordinary 2:1) conversion promotions follows ever, it will be (again) restricted to max 60'000 Superpoints being convertable in to miles per m&m account.
But I am not sure, who (and if) an eventual new contract between Coop and m&m might look like - what I know is that the current 2nd 3-years leg of this contract will expire in 2011 (and 3 years ago it was very close already to not be renewed (Migros was already far in their discussion with m&m to take over, and even claimed afterwards that m&m didn't keep their promiss given to them).

yes, I was hoping for a short term year end promotion and from what I know, this idea had been discussed within Coop - but I guess with their numerous Märkli promotions they have reached the agreed budget of Miles&More miles for 2010.
For Coop it is probably more lucrative to sell 2'000 Miles for CHF 34.90 than to convert Superpunkte 3:2 into miles.
I'd say Coop buys the miles from Miles&More at a price of between CHF 0.01 and 0.015/mile (probably closer to 0.01; my guess - pure speculation)
Märkli: We pay CHF 0.0175/mile = nice profit for Coop
Now if one Superpunkt is valued CHF 0.01, a 3:2 conversion would generate CHF 0.015 per mile, a 1:1 conversion only CHF 0.01 per mile = less profit for Coop
Maybe someone has more inside knowledge?

Hi,
Im in the need of a couple thousands points, are there any märkli promotions still running so I can ask a friend in ZRH just to pop in to a COOP with a few of his many filled in sticker cards to top up my account or has anything changed in 2011? And whilst I am it, just to clarify if its possible to do even though my M&M account is not registered in CH.
Thanks

You do not need to have a Swiss residence. In order to buy the miles, however, you need to present your M&M card physically in the shop. I did not hear if exceptions are made. Maybe others can advise.
As for the promoitio: you can collect stamps until 5 February and hand them in until 26 February. Maximum you can buy 30,000 miles per account.
