It depends on the Fare rules for the ticket you purchased...

Said rules should provide info on whether changes are even allowed.. and if so at what cost.

Be aware it could be $$$$$$$.....

Simplest way to find out is to call the airline and discuss your options...

Welcome to FT!

It's a good idea, when first coming to any new discussion board, to familiarize yourself with its organization before posting. The "Suggestions" part of FT is for people to make and discuss suggestions about FT itself, as you'll see from reading some of the other posts here.

As for your question: each airline has its own rules. Each airline has its own FT forum as well. If you'd like a fully informed answer to your question, please post it in the appropriate airline forum. Information such as the fare class of your ticket (not just the class of service, but the specific fare class within it) will help, as the answer often depends on that as well.

Fare Rules are nothing more than a procedure the airlines have set up to milk their own customers...its a shameful practice! Stick to your original date or prepared to be milked!

Never pay extra for being allowed to change a return date once. It is virtually useless option. If you try and change a return date you will be maneuvered into paying up to half the cost of a full fare or even more, just to change the date. The reason is always "fare class". Even though the seats are available in other fare class on your date; your fare class is always full. The bottom line is an economy seat is an economy seat! This is just a disgusting practice! I will make it a point to avoid this airline as much as possible for future trips!:mad:

Welcome to FlyerTalk, baz108!

Please read Efrem's post just above your first post. You are posting in a forum for suggestions about the operation of FlyerTalk as a website, not about any specific airline.

Since you did not specify which airline you are talking about, a moderator cannot move your post to the appropriate forum. Please go back to the main FlyerTalk forum page and post your problem in the appropriate airline forum so other members can assist you.
