Implement Preview Thread Feature
 

I use the vBulletin software on other message boards systems that I frequent, and notice that they all seem to have implemented the feature that allows the user to hover over the thread title and it displays a quick preview of the first 5 or 6 lines of that thread.

This allows me to quickly go through the threads and determine which ones I want to read and which ones I don't. Since the thread titles don't always provide a clue as to the message contents this is really a timesaver!

Any chance of that being implemented here?

We had that feature a while back. It was stopped because that feature was slowing things down. I do look forward to the day it returns.

That's funny, because on the other boards I frequent, the mods say that long threads cause everything to slow down, so they usually cap them at 200 or so... but they keep the hover/preview feature. Here, there are threads that are thousands of messages long, but no preview. Go figure!
