Changing the search function?
 

I was wondering what the chances are of changing the search function? I've noticed on a lot of websites that there is a google search tab with 'search www' and 'search www.websitexyz.com' and placed prominantly(sic?).

It might make a dramatic difference if a google style interface was introduced (if possible) since people generally feel more comfortable using something familiar, particularly the syntax needed to elicit the response wanted.

Placing it more prominantly might also encourage people think 'search' before 'new post'.

I hope it's worth considering.
