Thread titles - modify tehm for speling errors
 

Yes, that title was intentional

I know that if I start a thread, and if I try to modify the title after the 5-7 minutes after it has been created, the modification will only show when the thread is open, but not in the list of threads for the forum

I am not sure if the software allows it to be modified after that period, I don't know if it's related to the edited message that every post gets.

Could be handy for notifying people that a deal is gone, or in community if a place/location/date has been changed, without having to ask a moderator to change it.

Can it be done without much hassle and ramifications throughout the system

Moderators for the forum where the thread is posted can modify titles - and happily do so on request.

I take it that you are asking if general members can be given this ability?
