Feature request: searching for my own posts
How about a feature that makes it easier to search for my own posts?
The UI would include a new checkbox in the “Search by User Name” area of the (advanced) Search Forums dialog. The checkbox would be to the right of the existing “Exact name” checkbox, and the new checkbox would be labeled “Self”. When checked, the user’s Login name is placed in the “User name:” box; from there, the search process and options continue as always. If a user isn’t logged in, the checkbox could be grayed out, or a “please log in first” error message could get displayed. (Well of course I can type in my own username. But 71% of my by-username searches are for my own posts, and maybe the FT programmers have a spare cycle or two.) |
If you click on any username (including your own) on any post (or thread if in forum view), you can bring up all posts (or rather the last 500).
