Embedded pictures in threads
 

Once the embedded picture feature was enabled, threads with pictures take a very long time to load (and I'm on an OC-3 a mere 60 miles from your servers--assuming it's in COS). Has it only been enabled in the Trip Reports section? If so, I'll live with it.

Since most of the pictures are hosted elsewhere it doesn't have anything to do with the FT servers, perhaps you are having connectivity issues with some of the photo hosting services? The pages loads mighty fast for me...

Sheesh. Of course I never thought to realize the pictures were hosted elsewhere.

And it's only Tuesday... :(

Yes, the benefit is only being tested in the Trip Reports forum at this time. And as ScottC correctly answered, the connect issue is elsewhere since we are only allowing image tags, not the uploading of actual image files here on FT. We did not want the impact of actual picture files to interfere with the load factor of viewing and posting on FlyerTalk. Thanks for the question.

If you are having problems loading images (or simply do not want to load them on a slow line) then click this link, scroll down a bit and disable the "show images" option. It will disable showing any inline images.
