What is the default setting for pages per thread???

It used to be 35 on old FT.

Unless I have changed it to that, mine shows as 20 a page. Anyone know what the default setting is?

It looks like the default on the number of posts to display per thread page is 15.

Is that what you're asking?

Thanks Dan .. knew I posted about this somewhere. :)

So a 61 post thread is on page 5 on the default setting? Seems like a hard way to follow most fast moving threads. 35 was for sure the old FT default that on-one could tamper with or amend.

I had a feeling 30 a page was the default if you did not alter any settings to the contrary. Does 15 seems to gel with those who have not amended their settings (which I seem to have!)

Just put it back to 30 to make following longer threads easier.

Yes, 15 is indeed the default (I haven't changed mine from the defaults). Fortunately, this is a setting that one can customise in vBulletin. ^

I set mine to the maximum — 40 posts per page — and I am happy with this setting.

Poor ozstamps is now “out of a job”, as he used to take pride in posting the first post on a new page. Now, because each FlyerTalk member can customize how many posts there are on each page in a thread, ozstamps cannot post his famous posts about being the first post on a new page anymore...

Neat! Working was always terribly over-rated IMHO.

Does Randy pay redundancy? ;)

Dan .... the default at FIFTEEN POSTS A PAGE is IMO a pretty silly setting. If it used to be 35 and most of us are used to that, and threads of around that many a page, why not discuss with Randy putting it at 30 or whatever?

In your opinion, sure, but it's kind of a moot point now that every FTer can customise their posts per page setting to their liking. Who's to say that 30 is necessarily more correct than 15? :)

That said, I think I'm going to change mine to 30 posts/page. ;)
