Discontinued Forums?

Is there a list of discontinued forums? I did a search in the FAQ and could not find any link. I'm looking for Rails and Airports. Were they discontinued, or am I just too dazzled to find them? (Nice job here on the changes!!)

Airports are now under "local talk", click the local talk bar in the board listing:

By Rail, do you mean the Amtrak program?

Other Travel Programs/Partners > Amtrak Guest Rewards

Thanks Scott. I'm not sure I would have found the airports without your link. As for the "Rails", I thought I remembered another forum on the old Travel page that talked about trains, stations, and tickets in Europe, etc. I may be wrong about this though? If I remember it right, it did not get much traffic at all, since most of the questions were asked by City or destination anyway.

Yes, I also seem to remember that...

You can use the Archives link at the bottom of the page for a nice overview of all the boards:

Not to worry Bob, your memory isn't failing you :)

When we converted to the new board, we decided to roll the threads in the Rails forum into TravelBuzz. In looking at it, the Rails forum just hadn't received all that many posts over the course of two years and we thought the topic could easily be absorbed into TravelBuzz. We did the same thing with a couple of other forums also (I can't remember exactly which ones at the moment).

Sorry for any confusion this has caused, and I'm glad you like the changes in general.

Thanks! I guess that means I should probably dump my Vanguard, National and Reno Air miles and points, huh?

Well, unless I can invite you into the Ansett Golden Wing club you can. ;)

Some of the old boards (such as Airports) are too hard to find. I suggest that Airports get its own top level heading again. Local talk is not a logical place to look for it. Maybe local talk needs to be renemed (I thought it was a place to chat about issues only relevent to travelers in a particular place - so I did not even look there).
