Maintaining Forums During Migration

Would it not make sense (and be easier for those affected) if when TravelAssist migrates threads from Mile to Travel, the threads remain in the similar forum (i.e., Buzz to Buzz, of In the News to In the News)?

i think 95% of them have been handled that way. The foucs has really been on keeping MilesBuzz! as pure as possible, afterall, that's where all this started.

Thanks Randy. I am all in favor of cleaning up MilesBuzz, just a bit surprised to see a thread I posted in In The News Miles migrate to TravelBuzz.

Yes, me too! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Yet, FWIW, the "forced migration" of the WTC attack thread, "Plane crashes into the World Trade Ctr" to "TRAVELBUZZ" was really quite a shock to me! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/confused.gif

What SHOULD go there, after all?

Say, versus, "IN THE NEWS - TRAVEL" if anywhere else?

WHats' "MILESBUZZ" for, as opposed to "IN THE NEWS - MILES & POINTS" ?

If we do not want news, "IN THE NEWS" on the MILES board, shouldn't we perhaps consider eliminating it entirely?

Thanks! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
