FAQs for each area?
When Randy and I met earlier this week on his marathon mileage run, we briefly discussed the idea of having a FAQ associated with each board.
My view is that the old adage, "many hands make light work", holds true here. We've got a lot of people who know a lot about the individual programs. We've got a lot of people who are committed to making this board a better place. The technology behind a collaborative environment like this is relatively simple to implement (please see this example) and quick to populate. What do you guys think? Both FTers (would people use it? would it be helpful?) and FT staffers -- is it technically feasible? I truly think this is a great idea, but it may be a bit much for FT itself to actually take on as they are quite busy. I appreciate any FTer who tries to take this on themselves, including:
MatthewClement's Unofficial Guide to United Airlines GG'sDelta Flyers' Guide FewMiles' Unofficial Guide to American Airlines AAdvantage And I apologize if I have missed any others. [This message has been edited by chexfan (edited 10-29-2001).] |

Over time, if each contributed 10 questions and answers, you'd have a pretty comprehensive list. Multiply this over all of the active boards, and you've really got something. We already answer the same questions over and over again -- with a little effort, we could record them permanently and in a more user-friendly manner than the "search" function. ------------------ Please visit The Mileage Runner's Toolkit and Unofficial United Airlines Guide |
