"Travel Discounts" needs to be clarified

Some people seem to think this is an appropriate place to post short-term sale fares. I disagree ... there are better places for that. I think of "Travel Discounts" as things like discount or zone fare coupons distributed by supermarkets, Entertainment books, or included with specific retail products (e.g videocassettes). These discounts are typically valid for several weeks or months.

Being one of the "Some People" I would have to disagree. I don't really see the difference between an airline offering s short term sale, or blockbuster offering me a coupon to save some money. In both cases, travel is discounted. Once the expiration date of the offer goes by the topic will scroll down to the bottom of the pile, but before that happens it's there for people to take advantage of.

I for one would like to have one place to see all discounts, be they short term fares, coupons, rebates, two for ones, whatever. I don't want to have to open a dozen threads when one called discounts clearly covers all of them. I don't think there needs to be a separate folder or whatever for each type of discount, one place to look at them all is fine. If a separate topic is started for each extreamly minor definition of a topic, soon the board will become way too huge and it would take forever to find anything.

The heading of one of the posts in question made it very clear it was a sale at BA ending in a few days, there isn't any way somebody looking for coupons would get confused by it.
