MICHAEL... Multiple Post suggestion

Michael at Webflyer,

I posted this suggestion in another thread, but you may have missed it.

The multiple threads are getting more and more problematic and I have to believe they are taking up substantial server space.

Can you put in a software checking process that does not allow one person to post twice in a row? If someone want to add to their previous post, they can edit that post.

Just a thought.

But William, then those who go back & dredge up old posts of theirs from a year ago to update, wouldn't 'up' their post count. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Oh wait, that's just more fodder for doing away with Status & Post Counts....

I think it's a good idea.

But what if doing away with post count doesn't help? What if ubiquity is the goal?

Shadow,

I thought you only got one "Post Credit" per thread... no matter how many times you posted in a particular thread.

Well, if my suggestion helps that as well... just another benefit! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Perhaps moderators could help in deleting multiple threads, multiple posts, spelling errors in thread titles, etc.?

BOY,

If they have to do all the Cactuspete, they will be very busy! Don't sign me up!!!
