Non-US Hotels
 

Is it not time the hotels included in this forum were reviewed?

In particular I would draw your attention to chains such as Forte which with over 400 hotels has more properties than Marriott or Hilton, but they are not even included in this forum.

Could this be because they are non-US?

It's probably because they are non-Texan!!!

Or Dorint, which also has quite a few hotels in Europe. But maybe they don't have frequent guest programs? If not, that may be the reason.

Why not call the forums for those with no ff programs OTHER HOTELS and OTHER AIRLINES?

Why should we call them non-US or U-S Or Texan or Jerzee or CAT ACCEPTing HOtels or Airlines.

I agree with Merry. Forte is an extremely large and extensive hotel company and should be included. It does have its own loyalty programs - check out their web site at http://www.forte-hotels.co.uk/ - sorry I do not know how to hyper-link the text!

Forte has several Frequent Guest Programs: Le Carte Noir (for Le Meridian); PointsCard; an over 55's scheme; a travel arrangers scheme; Moments (co-branded with Mastercard).

They also have one of the fastest earning rates in the industry spending £355 ($570) on accom & food currently earns a free night, (This is not a promo).

Their promos are exceptional. Recently there was a stay 3 nights and receive a case of wine (and it was decent stuff). Compare that to HI Priority Club.

There existing loyalty schemes are being revamped later this year and launched under the 'Moments' brand.

Come on Inside Flyer. Isn't it time you took the N American bias away from this board? What about Accor? What about Sofitel? Oberoi? Kempinski? Orbis? Dusit? Shangri-La? Taj?

I am not saying all of these deserve a place on this board, but I am saying the current list is very N American biased and some of the smaller US chains being included is out of proportion to their significance.

And please, no 'Other Hotels' forums. These properties have FF schemes. They have extensive property portfolios and they have millions of guests. What they don't have is a high US presence. Why should that make them second rate?

I'm with you, Nick. In fact, the removal of some of those "Travellodge" types would be very welcome.

OK, I'm a reasonable guy (just short on time) but you're right. We actually cover more programs on the off-line side that we post online. If you can give me until the middle of next week, I'll get you forums for all those programs..... Next?
