CATMAN's Wish list
 

We have all made a lot of good suggestions for new topics for FLyerTalk, but here are the few that I think are most important... and most needed:

1. Car Rental forum NOW!!!!

2. Separate forum just for the trip reports and airline and hotel reviews that we do. It would be easier for thus going to these places later to get an idea of what's the best and what to avoid.

3. Something called "Just for Flyertalkers"0 This is an area where people can post suggestions for get togethers like the Party in Paradise. Also where if we go to the Freddies we can talk about it there. (LIke a forum just for us!!!" I think this will keep the Buzz less loaded with topic listings and keep that focused on travel areas.

One More separate forum: a special "FlyerTalkers Announcements page" where we can announce special occassions (like impending births, visits to certain cities,
weddings, etc.)

Since it seems more and more we are becoming a family that it's a place where "THE FAMILY" can share good news.

Announcements of impending births, Catman? Were the cats "playing" while you were away?

Actually, this sparks a great idea for UA. Since UA now has their college program, perhaps they could introduce a baby program also. I can see it now - send a photocopy of your baby's birth certificate within 60 days of his/her birth and United will open a frequent flyer account (with 5000 bonus miles) for the little (future) frequent flyer.

MileKing... That's a great suggestion on the U-A baby ff fund. It's important to start young travelers early on the benefits of earning miles and points. You should post it under the U-A site and maybe when U-A wakes up calls it the "MILE KING FLYER FUND!"

As for the announcements of pending births, weddings, get togethers... I suggested that to keep personal and fun stuff in its OWN area (like if I was having a FlyerTalk convention in NYC or Vegas, it's a miscellanous topic that deserves it own forum.)

As for the cats: it's physically impossible for two male cats to be facing fatherhood!

But why just UA?

And, I'm not really sure about Catman's #3. It sort of seems to me, although I'm a relative newcomer, that this is what "The Buzz" was intended to be.

You may be right, Phil... but I thought the Buzz was for travel related topics that were NOT covered by the forums.

NOt impending births, Catman's travels or that YAZ won a blue ribbon at the cat show.
(Well that hasn't happened YET!)

It was just a suggestion to keep the "light"
stuff in its own area. And my feeling that it will have A LOT OF POSTINGS! CATMAN
