Auto-merge posts by same member

So if reply twice in the same thread in short succession, and there are no other replies between my two replies, automatically merge the contents of the two posts into one post.

I've seen this on other forums and it keeps threads clean.

It would certainly help the moderators, who often do this manually.

However, posters can reply to multiple messages in the same post, so I'm not sure why people feel the need to post twice in a row in the same thread. (OK, I'm sure I've been guilty of that at some point.... :o )

Not everyone knows how to multi-quote. A lot of folks don't understand the edit button either.

And sometimes I'll reply to one post and then go back and read more of the posts and realize that there is another post I want to reply to.

I think this is a great idea... not sure how it would work in Coupon Connection with our bump rules... :)

Yeah, same here. It's usually quicker to hit reply with quote again instead of edit.
