Premium fare deals: Separate Premium economy from J/F into a separate subforum
Just a thought -- people looking for premium fares are mostly, like me, looking for J/F deals. PE isn't really that "premium" even on those airlines with a better PE than just E+, maybe those deals should be put into their own subforum?

My concern would be that people will also tend to post the C+ (DL) type fares which are just coach with extra legroom and not true premium economy. If such a new forum is created, it would need to be very clear that it's only for true premium economy fares, on routes that have genuine and separate premium economy cabins. A lot of monitor attention might be necessary. |

Premium economy is just for mileage runs. Business is for actual comfort when you travel. I also would think they should be separated.

This is a request that comes up every now and then. Feels like we just had it half a year ago. The Moderators believe that such a sub-forum is not needed, and administrative effort would far outweigh the benefits.
Since January there have been 1032 posts in the Premium Fare Forum, broken down as follows: 963 First/Business 64 Premium Economy 5 mixed Premium Economy Fares represent only 6% of the fares posted to the forum. This does not rise to the level of another sub-forum and the additional moderation required. We already receive may RBPs on things like title formatting (one-way vs RT, currency used, etc), and there are many posters who "police" the forum and take issue with such inconsistencies. In a Premium Economy forum, we foresee frequent problems and arguments, because people will mistakenly put E+ or similar there. |
