If booked on third party website = no stay credit .
BTW I have booked on the PH website, will that get stay credit with SPG?
I caved in and booked one night at AAA $89 rate and then my next 2 nights booked on FUEL deal which is $169 per night (OUCH ) with $40 room credit, $40 gaming credit . I am hoping before end Sept/Oct I find a better deal and then I will cancel these res. Didnt want to get caught out and end up paying more .
As I am actually staying 3 consecutive nights, will PH merge the res so I dont have to check out and check back in again later in the day?

When you check out, they'll only print a folio covering the days that made up the second stay. You'll have to ask them to print you another one for the earlier day(s), if you wish to have a copy.

Here's an $89 rate including Hollywood Hip room upgrade and bonuses:

Book by July 15 for various Jul/Aug/Sep/Nov/Dec dates. There are other $89 rates around (eg Travelzoo), but this one has better availability for some dates.
- Rates from $89 per night on select dates (see available dates to the right)
- Accommodations in our Hollywood Hip room
- $40 gaming bonus when you sign up for the aList Players Club (new members only)
- Two complimentary Spice Market Buffet Breakfasts per stay

Has any one stayed in the renovated resort vista rooms and if so could they provide a short description of the room. I have only stayed in either standard rooms or suites before but not this one.
(While I am here, I have noticed a big hike in the difference between a normal room and a fountain view room. They seemed to have renamed them 'hip rooms' or something, but they are still the standard rooms with a view)

Has anyone ever been able to upgrade using points in advance of the stay (the five-day-before-stay points upgrade). Since the reservation systems aren't tied - i.e. the res I made on PH.com can't be viewed by SPG employees - and PH isn't able to pull points from me, it seems this is either very complicated or even impossible. Just wondering if anyone has tried before since I still have 1 1/2 months before it's 5 days out ;-)

Here you go.
Check-in
I arrived to the hotel a little bit past three in the afternoon. Holy cow all I saw was tons of charter buses. the hotel was sold out. I have never seen a check-in line so long in my years with Starwood. All I have to say is " Thank God there is a Platinum check-in line were there was no one." Check-in was a breeze. The funny part during check-in I was told that I was upgrade to a Panorama Suite for being Platinum. Funny I said i booked a Panorama suite so i was upgraded to a Panorama suite from a Panorama suite.
Suite
If you ever book a Panorama Suite make sure you get the north tower. since you get a good look at the las vegas strip the suite is one of the farthest from the elevators. ^ When you get to the room there is two black doors that lead to two other doors. you have a little waiting area in the middle. we booked both rooms so that made are suite 1600 square feet. when you walk into the Double door foyer entrance there is a three to four person sofa and quite a few single sofas. and a circular table. we had the star trek theme suite. with quite a few clthing from the show.there is also a 52" flat screen tv. behind the tv there is a four setting glass table and half a bathroom. the is also a small work place to the right. to the left of the entrance the is a Retractable Wall where you can see the bath tub and staight to the bathroom. there is also a Wet bar with refrigerator and a sink. Both your rooms are your typical hollywood hip room. Each with a 36" tv and a sofa. and there is a couple of stereos where you can connect your ipods. the bathroom was pretty big . of course had the tub separte shower, double sinks and the little room with the toilet. you also get a 180 degree view of the strip. starting from the back end of the paris hotel to the bellagio hotel. where you can see the water show perfect.
Restaurants
had for the first time and last time Earl of Sandwich. not that great.
and of course the spice market buffet. what can i say my favorite in the strip. there might be better ones but this is my favorite. alot of people have said that this is not a benefit. but if you are a platinum member you can walk to the vip line. its great because the line was long yesterday for dinner. some employees dont know to let you by but the manager gave me his number just in case there was a problem.
Overall
so far it has been a great stay. still have a couple days left in vegas. even though it is hot out there it is nice and cool in here. staff has been great. The maid must be a happy lady since we left the room pretty much the way we found it. since we spend very few hours here.

For an upcoming weekend stay if I book a strip suite what are my chances of an upgrade to a panaroma suite as a Plat?

I love stay credit but-
Off to LAS for a meeting in early August. I usually prefer the PH but am keeping a open mind to other props. The Wynn promo rate I got in the mail is- $119 and a $100 casino credit. Gotta do the Wynn.

C&P inventory in October
Any way to find C&P rooms at PH in October? Do I need to look at each day, every day to keep an eye on it?

Be careful...my hunch is that if there is C&P availability, then there will be a decent promo that would make using C&P a bad idea. Be sure to check all promos for your dates.

Right now there are PH weekday cash rates that are cheaper than the cash portion of the C&P ($90).

Stomp Out Loud
I would be interested to hear any comments on this show at the PH. How does it rank in the current hierarchy of "must see " shows?
Are there any "deals" for early September?

The show is very interestingly designed. It is very amazing what those actors are able to do. However, I think it is a bit to long. I had free tickets with my stay when I saw it, otherwise I would not pay money to see it again.

One of the great things lost in the transition of the old alladin to th "new"alladin(and now PH)was the performing arts center.
They used to book some great concerts there.
