Westin, typically very consistent (O'hare Westin being the major exception for me).
|
Normally LM, LC, sheraton, and Westin , rarely 4pts.
But the last two or three years I travel only in europe. |
Westin.
I overall like Ws, but the "I'M SO COOL LOOK AT HOW COOL I AM OH SO TRENDY EVERYONE LOOK AT ME AND MY OUTFIT" attitude gets to me after a while. The Sheraton brand should improve after all these announced renovations are done. The disparity among Sheratons is amazing! Compare the Sheraton Commander in Cambridge, MA to the Sheraton Park Ridge in King of Prussia, PA ... and it looks like you're comparing the Plaza to a Motel 6. |
Westin....
...for its consistency.^
|
Also Westin for the consistency without any hesitation
|
It looks as though the Westin is running away with it.. :-:

W by far is the favorite.
Le Meridien second. 3. Sheraton now edges out Westin for me as I have stayed in some nice ones lately 4. Westin is consistent but can that can be a tad boring. Like the health conscious branding though 5. Four Points 6. Luxury Collection--some ok older properties but I prefer more modern hotels--will have to check out the SLS Beverly Hills though later in the year. have not yet stayed at St. Regis, aloft (first stay upcoming), or Element |
no contest - westins for me.
|
Westin all the way

St Regis when I can get it.
I've been in entirely too many pedestrian Westins... so even though the much lower price/redemption category/availability/locations would seem to make Westin the tops choice, YMMV. |
With 61 votes in, the Westin brand at almost 40% of votes cast is compellingly beating the rest.
|
If its not Sheraton then I'm fine
anything except the Sheraton ( Nickel and Dime me from check-in to check-out ) brand
|
I prefer Westin, but only because of the modern, calm, peaceful, ZEN vibe they are focusing on. Hey, it's good marketing! It's not because I've been treated better there or because it was more comfortable, because it really wasn't... I actually like Sheraton & 4Points and I am happy to see some new and improved properties. I really enjoy & appreciate the Sheraton Club Lounge and the Link@Sheraton too. St Regis properties are to my liking for sure, especially the new high-end+high-tech, modern properties; St. Regis San Francisco comes to mind. I'm not a W person. I would be open to Le Méridien and Luxury Collection, but I'm not too familiar with them. As for aloft & element, I do not have an opinion at this time.

The best thing to ever happen to Shearton was Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino :D
