Ergo, I think it's pretty safe to say this promotion is pretty wide open for people to use, even without receiving the email.

I'd also be curious to know whether a group-specific promo like the AICPA promo can be stacked with this.

Since I'm going to be staying at a Starwood hotel in Chicago over the weekend, it would be nice to know whether this is a legitimate promo open to all.
Would either of the Lurkers please clarify today if possible?

Well, yes and no.
This offer is only being made to a specific group of travelers via email. However, if it gets exchanged virally and you happen upon it, you can successfully register for it much the same way that you can successfully register for a quarterly promotion offer as a "ME TOO" registrant, with few exceptions.
Best regards,

I registered for this promo in the middle of one of my stays -- will I receive bonus points for that stay (haven't received them yet)?
Also, will I receive bonus points for stays that were booked prior to registration?
Thanks!

Any bonus Starpoints earned will post to the member's account within 2 to 3 weeks after the qualifying stay posts
I didn't see anything there about a booking date. YMMV.

Thanks, OP. Won't amount to a lot - but never look a gift horse in the mouth!

Thanks for this. ^ The timing couldn't have been better as I have a 2 night stay at the W Lakeshore coming up in August.

Yes, I have seen the 500pts per night post along with this and some 1000 pts M7A promotion posting with it.
