Shhhhh :P

I'm curious about the rates you quoted - I've never seen anything below MYR300 for the LM, or below MYR600 for the GH. Are these BRG rates you're talking about?

Yes, BRG rates at LM and a corporate rate at GH. LM is very tough to BRG (normally MYR300++ almost everywhere), but you sometimes get lucky with obscure European sites. My lowest BRG was MYR215++ for multi-night stays (after 20% BRG discount) or MYR260++ for a single night (plus 2k Starpoints).

Generally, KL hotels are reasonably priced, so it's a great place to try the best. The LM is probably the best value in the entire SPG systems for Plats (MYR250-300 rates get you access to an amazing club, huge breakfast spread, nicely remodeled suites). The suites at GH (using DSU) are spectacular, and their club is outstanding (and MYR450 rates aren't hard to get). So it is worth wondering what the SR has to offer to warrant that extra MYR500+.
I find the Sheraton Imperial KL also good value for Plats, with a good club lounge, very friendly staff. Although the rooms/suites are becoming a bit dated.

The appropriate teams have been made aware and there is apparently a technical issue that needs to be resolved before award bookings can be made. I don't have a timeline for resolution to report at this time.

Would it be possible at this time to request a manual override with the SPG contact center to issue award nights since standard rooms are available?

Anyone needing assistance with an alternative way of making an award reservation at this hotel, until the technical issue is sorted, is welcomed to send an email with the details to the email address below.
