Lack of consistency in housekeeping (Westin Nova Scotian, Halifax)
I am just finishing up a 6 night stay at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax, and once again, the lack of consistency in housekeeping has been the most annoying part of my trip. While I can certainly live with the inconsistencies, I just find it very surprising that housekeeping doesn't seem to have some sort of checklist to ensure that the same things are done every day.
I've noticed this before in hotels across North America (for example at the SLS Beverly Hills, Westin Diplomat, Sheraton Wall Centre, and Parker NYC), whenever I stay more than two or three nights in the same room.
Some examples:
- two new bath towels instead of three on some days
- new bars of soap for days 1, 2, and 4, but none when we actually needed some
- pillows placed back on bed a couple of times but not everytime
- bed made differently on different days; sometimes the sheets were tucked in and some times they weren't
Has anyone else noticed this and wondered about it?

No, come back and complain when you find a large urine stain on the sheets of one of your beds like I did last month.
Why don't you contact the manager if it has been an inconvenience to you, you are still at the hotel correct?
