Any updates on the structures being constructed in front of the hotel? How high will they go?
At 63 stories, the building that houses the Rosewood is one of the tallest in HK and is basically complete (minus the interior)

Hopefully Marriot will force them to improve and remove a real lounge
I thought the lounge was nice (great view and not crowded so we could chat), and the breakfast superb, but I don't stay in hotels in Asia often. Mostly in the US.

You must be thinking the towers lounge not the platinum lounge

Has this obliterated the views from the Sheraton?

Yes, you are right - I am thinking of the Towers lounge (I paid for a towers room). I didn't see the plat lounge

I stayed here last week and was shocked at the "lounge" - easily the worst I have been to in Asia (though I have not been to a ton)

Shocking bad. It's even worse than renovated US lounges.

Fortunately no, the new skyscraper is about 500m to the east of the Sheraton.

Looking at this and Hyatt Regency TST for award redemption on 2 rooms. SPG Gold and have the SPG Amex Biz card for lounge access. Can anyone compare these two properties? And does anyone know how they'd handle the biz lounge access at Sheraton?

Search this thread; I don't think the AMEX Biz has helped people get into the lounge.

Hello.
I have gold status: sheraton hong kong.

Any experiences with early check in - I'm looking for 12 noon check in.

Any experiences with late check out - I'm looking for 5 pm check out.

Thank you.

All depends on availability when you check-in/check-out.
