I initiated a transfer on 7/3 and I'm still waiting. I created my wife's SPG account(had Marriott for much longer) back in late May solely for the purpose of transferring her points to my account. I waited 30+ days and submitted the transfer request, have not seen them post yet.
I'm still waiting for the points from my last SPG Amex statement as well. The points from my first statement and my signup bonus posted, but points from my 2nd statement have not. That statement closed on 6/15, it has been almost a month!
Something seems to be going on, i just sent an email to SPG asking about both these issues, if I don't hear anything I'll call next week.

It's possible SPG side is auditing and scrutinize the process more strictly. Marriott is 3 times the size and perhaps 3 times more members. I am seeing higher number of posts and threads about Audits and transfer problems than usual...
My pure guess is there is a sudden spike of newly joined SPG members that is having very usual actrivities - like the money laundry like scheme of trying to reach 2 million Marriott Rewards points by pulling a " Original Marriott Member -> SPG -> SPG Family Member -> Family Member's Marriott -> Original Marriott member". if only a very small portion of Marriott member start doing these schemes, and Marriott have a huge member base compared to SPG, it would chew up resources more than normal. All of these tricks kind of resolve themselves after Aug 1, so SPG has incentive not hire extra staff or have people work overtime - just process them with what resources they have now.

I suspect I will need to call SPG to see if this is possible but, I already hit the 30k point max purchase for the year and am short for another another redemption that I wanted to do before the program changes go into effect since I wanted a second Marriott travel package. My idea was to purchase 30k points as a gift for a family member living in the same house, then transfer them to myself. My understanding of the rules is that is fine.
The problem is they do not travel frequently and while they made a Starwood account a few months ago it was only activated earlier this week. How exactly does the 30 day timer on address changes work? Does activating the account restart the timer since it did ask for address details, or since it was the same address used when the account was created we will be good? My guess is that I am out of luck and will need to try to figure something else out.

As for my Amex points not posting, she said she couldn't do anything about that and I have to call Amex. So I called them, someone from India answered and they claimed there was a 4-6 week delay in sending the points to SPG. However my bonus and the first statement's points showed up in a timely manor... she did say that the points(now two statement's worth) were "pending" transfer over. It has been 4 weeks since the prior statement, so I guess those should post anyday now since my latest statement just closed this week?
Never had a single issue with Chase and Marriott points over 5+ years, the points transferred over right away as soon as my statement closed. Amex claims the 4-6 week delay is for "returns", why can't they just adjust the next month's point amount transfer like Marriott/Chase do? I never had an issue with returns, one month my only transaction was a return so the points transferred over for that statement were actually negative and they deducted points, which was 100% correct and expected.

My Amex SPG closes this week it will be interesting to see if points post. Points from June posted no problem from both of my SPG cards (bus and personal). I am in the same boat as you though I haven't called them yet on an internal transfer. It has been 7.5 business days and counting. I know they are probably slammed but disappointing.
Edit: Oh and don't believe Amex front line CSRs, I love Amex but the CSRs seem to make stuff up. I had a retenion bonus post in July (I forgot about that) and it posted within days of my hitting the spend. Amex is most concerned about returns on such minimum spend and my points posted even before statement cut.

Interesting data point. Given the data points up thread and my own (July 8th submission that didn't go through) it really does sound like there was a period of time when the requests were not going through correctly. I followed up on my 7/8 request and earlier this week and got an email that transfers were taking longer but were being processed in the order they were received. Your data point clearly contradicts this. I ended up doing a transfer to an airline partner so moot point now but it does seem like resubmitting may work.

My transfer of points finally posted to my account this morning, over 3 weeks after my initial attempt and two phone calls to SPG. My phone call a week ago seemed to have did it, when she re-submitted the request. The first request I initiated on 7/3 didn't work at all.
Still waiting for Amex points to post from a statement that closed now nearly 6 weeks ago... based on my experiences so far I'm glad SPG is going away and being replaced with Marriott rewards. Never had any issues like this with Marriott rewards points not posting from a credit card in several years.

My transfer request from husband to wife on July 20 has still not posted. I called but told to wait. I really need to book the Marriott travel package.
