Yah it's pretty fantastic was about to say "can i have this and this and this" and she said "nono, you now get everything all at once, you just order what drink you like". So it was almost meal/dinner like. Dont know when but she said they just started this new concept. Last time i was here was mid november so i guess it's just this year?

Yeah they serve it as a set now so just order drinks only.

You sign the bill at the end of the session but won't be charged when you checkout.

I finally went ahead and booked a Deluxe Ocean View for 8 nights. SPG couldn't confirm a non-smoking room in that category, they just noted it as a request.

I'm not allergic to smoke or anything but I hope there isn't an overpowering smoke smell... anyone know if there is a chance of actually bagging a nonsmoking room or do I need to stock up on the air freshener spray?

You will more than likely get a non-smoking room, the same thing happened to me two years ago.

Any experiences as an SPG Gold? Perks? If I try to upgrade with SPG points, would that get me any perks? Lounge access, etc?

There is no lounge at this property, but the bar comps drinks and snacks throughout the day (=much better than a lounge).

Transportation to/from Le Méridien Cyberport in Hong Kong

How well does it work out to ride public transportation to/from the Le Méridien Cyberport?

I'll be arriving late at night, around 22:15. Besides that, how about getting from the hotel to Central, or at least an MTR station?

IIRC the hotel shuttle has a fixed schedule to MTR. Taxis, too, are modestly priced.

But to answer your question, that late at night you can take a taxi from HK central airport express to hotel and cost would be 80-90 HKG$

You'll miss the hotel shuttle (schedule in the wiki of main thread). So just take a cab once you reach Hong Kong MTR station.
