Question SPG Notice Regarding Vitznau Property Closure

Received the following E-mail from SPG today noticing me that my current reservations at the ArabellaSheraton Vitznauhof (Switzerland) were cancelled, albeit 7-weeks late! Anyone else get this notice??

Been discussed here before, the hotel was badly back in Summer?? 2005.

There was as far as I understand some concern whether the building even be saved.

Perhaps your notification ( although quite late) is a good sign that this place may re-open in the near future, one of SPGs best bargains in Europe.

Any updated information???

Does anyone have any update information?
I had the reservation in Aug 2005, 10 days after the flood.
Of course, my reservation was canceled.

I still like the property and want to go back there near future, however, SPG site still has not included this property in its system yet.

Any new news? Good or Bad ?

The last thing I read that the hotel was so badly damaged by the flooding last year that there was some concern it would ever re-open ( or any time soon)

When one goes to an independent site the hotel is still listed but when booking dates are inserted an "unavailable" message pops up.
