Double starpoints and double stays

Didn't see another thread about this so figured I would post it.

Earn double starpoints and double stays between August 1 through October 31, 2005. All your stays count double which makes it easier to aquire gold status.

Register by august 31 at SPG.com/promo

Don't know if this is targeted but you have to enter your SPG number so it might very well be.

I think it is targetted, because I got "We're sorry; you are not currently eligible for this Starwood Preferred Guest® promotion. Please visit SPG.com to view other special offers and promotions."

Thanks for the info.Interestingly, when I entered my SPG # it registered me for triple points-no mention of bonus stay credit. I guess there must be more than one promo going on.My version expires on 9/30,must register between 8/1 and 8/31.

Me too. I've been doing most of my staying at Marriott, and I guess they want me to continue doing that.

Me as well - not eligible. Oh well, I'll be at the Marriott at least through the middle of September (even though I like the more expensive Westin better).

Same story here!

Perhaps we should bookmark the page and plan on entering our SPG number monthly?

I got the same offer as freeflyin. This will be my first stay at a *wood property since signing up for the SPG AMEX card.

Its always been this way, since they had a Freq stay program. Maybe now you just happen to know about it. But i am sorry to inform you that these types of offers are what the Freq Guest program is all about. Trying to get those who stay infrequently to stay more. Sorry it you get all bent out of shape over it, but its a common marketing tool.
