received new triple Starpoints offer today
I just received this an hour ago. The funny part is that (1) i was signed up for 420 which just ended a month ago and (2) I've spent 14 nights at Starwood properties in the past month. SO if they haven't seen me in a while they clearly weren't looking very hard

OK, the usual questions. How did you receive the offer, email or snail mail? If email, can you provide a generic link to the promo that we can try? It seems you are required to register, is it via phone or web link? Any clarifications would be helpful.

Feeling lucky? Give it a try...just remember, no telephone registrations will be accepted and for ME TOO's, we're still in the 400 series and the ME TOO for the 400 series has already been handed out.

As for the OP being previously participating, etc., I would bet dollars to donuts there is a duplicate account floating around in our database for you, or at the very least there are two accounts with the same email address.

Gotta love it. . Platinum with 27 nights so far and another 15 booked for the next two months and this is what I got when I tried to register:
"We're sorry, you are not currently eligible. . ."
Guess once again the marketing folks at *wood are not wanting to reward any of their "loyal" customers. I am not whining btw since this is a discussion that has been held time and again here, but I do find it frustrating to not be eligible for promotions that others who aren't "brand loyal" as much are eligible for.
Guess I just continue to miss the logic on this mindset by *wood. I am curious if the "key" to getting targetted is to move to another hotel chain and stop staying at *woods? Has anybody tried that e.g., Platinum last year and stopped staying there this year but have received promotions?

Did not luck out this time around. I don't know why they don't offer EVERYONE some type of offer. I received my Marriott Summer Promo just on Monday. Everyone got a promo either double points after 2nd stay or for every third stay get 5K up to max. 25K
That way no one is left out... Guess Marriott is my hotel of choice this summer so far...
