Looking for a fasttrack to gold

Hello, Spring is there!

Does somebody know if there is a fasttrack to gold or another way to get a upgrade to gold?

There was a gold enrollment for BAEC members but can't find the link with no search.

You may need to put in a Dutch address but keep your country as UK. The letter should still get to you, I think!

Join Ameniti, United's useless 'luxury travel club'. There was an offer several months for $10 that included SPG Gold and 2 RCC passes. There are more common offers of 25k UA miles with signup (in addition to SPG Gold and 2 RCC passes) @ $249 (IIRC?) cost.

The US Amex Plat comes with SPG Gold, not sure that all Amex (charge, not credit) Plat cards do but you might check.

Any eight numbers should do it ....

Note your account will be set to BA Miles direct deposit (ie no points). I'm not sure how easy it is to disable this - you cannot do it online as far as I know - and thus allow you to get SPG points.

If you sign up for airline direct deposit in order to receive gold status and then ask customer service to remove direct deposit, you risk losing status.

You're supposed to lose status, anyway. This didn't used to be enforced but recent reports are that it now is enforced.

BA offer has expired

The BA offer has expired.

To enrol, simply enter the information to the right, and you’ll automatically become an elite member of Gold Preferred Guest, valid until 28 February, 2006!

My husband has a new Starwood AMEX card. He was given Preferred Plus, not gold.

Confirmed - i tried doing this to accumulate points instead and was warned I'd lose the status. Decided to keep it instead for the odd upgrade.

Through being Platinum status with American Airlines, I received a promotional offer for Gold Status. Now, per the terms of the offer, Starpoints accrued through hotel stays are automatically transferred to my AAdvantage account. And, as previous posts have noted, should I change that "automatic transfer", I would instantly lose status. So, if you are elite status with an airline, perhaps you could inquire of any Gold promotions available through that.

My wife got the Starwood AMEX this year and got Gold status. Is it that you get Gold for the first year and then drop to preferred plus?
