10 Starpoints per $1 at 1800Flowers.com
Title says it all. Seems like a good bang for the buck with Starwood points. Even more if you have a Starwood Amex.

and look at that. I had suggested last year it would be a good idea for SPG to sell their points via idine. Maybe that will happen also.

Bad experience with UPS..but great with 1800flowers.com
Last week, I called for a gift for an anniversary to be delivered on Nov 18th.
UPS screwed up on the 18th and didn't delivered on time. The package was left in a UPS facility (according to the tracking system)
That evening I sent an email to 1800flowers.com to mention that the package was not delivered on time, as it was promised and that I shouldn't pay for the extra shipping charge and neither should they. An hour later, I got an email back from them saying profusely that they were sorry and that they would credit my CC for the whole amount of the order, not just the shipping charge!!
This is what I call customer service! Next time I'll need a similar service, you can be sure that I'll call them again. ^ ^

I placed two orders from 1-800-Flowers in February. I have called several times and still have not received the 10 points per dollar. They claimed I did not use the link through the spg website. I suppose I will try again this weekend.
