If you see only Marriott account activity / points when logging into SPG.com: (as of August 19)

If you use the same email address and password on both SPG.com and Marriott.com, logging in appears to take you to your Marriott account by default. Try using your SPG account number and password to log in.

If you use the same email address and different passwords, each password should take you to each separate account. You need to log completely out to switch accounts.

It may be helpful to use different browsers or an incognito/private browsing window to be able to access both accounts without confusing your browser.

Also, regardless, be sure to uncheck the Remember Me before logging in to make account selection easier until you have combined your accounts and have a single login again.

Try https://www.marriott.com/default.mi?...spg&reset=true to access your SPG account.

Systems Outage Update

Members,

Thank you again for your patience as we transition to one new program for you. Below is an update on the system transition happening this weekend.

As you know, we have planned outages through the weekend to ensure a smooth move to our new loyalty program. These outages will impact SPG.com, Marriott.com, the SPG mobile app, the Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton mobile apps and our call centers.
  • To ensure site stability, account combine functionality will be rolled out to members in batches through Monday
  • Throughout the weekend, when you log in to your account you should see all of your Marriott Rewards activity, but only 2018 SPG activity. Don’t worry -- if you would like to see your full 24-month SPG account activity, there will be a link on your profile with that information. Check out “view previous SPG activity” in your profile or on the mobile app. See a screenshot of this below.

Updates will be posted as needed, to status.marriott.com, throughout the weekend. Please reach out with any questions and we will do our best to answer.

Delete the "www" prefix from the url, it should be working fine.

Also, here is a leaked timeframe for the merger, apparently reservations should be back by 9:30am and award booking by 2pm Eastern: https://frequentmiler.boardingarea.c...th-merger-day/

Thanks for the update. I'm really missing Compare Rates grid from the old SPG site. Having to check each special rate individually, as opposed to being able to easily compare all the rates for all hotels at once, is something I disliked about the Marriott page. Also - the site has some accuracy issues. It showed the Government rate as not available at The Maxwell in NYC next weekend. When I clicked through to the hotel and tried adding it directly, the rate shows available. I always found the old SPG.com to be quite efficient to use and transparent. Please consider bringing back the Compare Rates grid.

I know that I'll be getting a new membership number replacing my SPG number... Despite that my Ritz account only have 5 nights v.s. 500 nights with SPG I would prefer to use my Ritz number for the new combined account to avoid remembering a new number... Is it possible?

I believe I read somewhere that if you initiate the merge from your RCR account then you can keep your RCR number.

This 100 times over. I really appreciated the 'compare rates' grid on SPG.com... Marriott requires way more clicks and screens to compare various rates (Cash, corporate rates, points) and various properties in the same search area. I can understand the focus being on integration right now, but really hope they look at this sooner rather than later. Its a big loss of functionality.

They won't. And any minute now CPRich is going to pop in on this thread and tell us all to stop complaining. In three, two, one...

Will there be any need to install an updated mobile app, or is that all staying that same going forward?

Right now both the Marriott and "SPG" sites have been displaying "Update in progress" for several hours nonstop now.

But earlier I went to the "SPG" site, which is actually a Marriott domain site with an "SPG" qualifier as part of the URL, and I was unable to login with my email. Since I have a login for the both Marriott and SPG with the same email, the "SPG" website was taking my email and logging me into the Marriott site only, refusing to let me log in with my email to the SPG site. I don't know yet if this was a temporary glitch or not.

Previously it had been promised that I would be able to log into the SPG site with my email (or my new SPG number, which I haven't received in email yet as of this moment) after the change on Aug 18.
